Summer Activities

The enchanting scenery of Kitzbühel with its extensive valley, wood-covered hills and surrounding mountains such as the Kitzbühler Horn, with a beautiful alpine flower botanical garden, and the Hahnenkamm, with its picturesque high path, offer a great variety of opportunities for walking, excursions, climbing, paragliding, golfing and mountainbike riding.
At Lake Schwarzsee (10 minutes' walk away) you can swim, go on boats, ride surrounded by uncontaminated nature, and there are ponies for children.

For a totally new sport: Try going on Lake Schwarzsee with the "Flipper"

Programme in the event of bad weather:

The sun doesn't have to shine if you have it in your heart.
Finally you must find the time to visit Kitzbühel Museum or the Cable Car Museum at Hahnenkamm, or the Kupferplatte Mine Museum at Jochberg; and also: the world of Swarowski crystals at Wattens; Rattenberg, the oldest and tiniest town in the Tyrol, perhaps together with the Kramsach Open-Air Museum; Innsbruck, regional capital, with the famous Golden Roof ("Goldenen Dachl"), the structure of the Winter Olympics and the regional exhibition, which is devoted to the 3 regions of Tyrol, Alto Adige and Trentino; Salzburg, the festival city, ... or simply treat yourselves to a day's shopping in the city, with a quiet rest in a nice café. Kitzbühel has many wonderful shops!

For once you could sit and relax in front of a crackling fire and contemplate, read a book, or browse amongst the books in our library; but you could also follow the footsteps and inspiration of the famous Kitzbühel painter Alfons Walde, who spent his childhood close to Villa Mellon and immortalized his beloved mountains in enchanting paintings.

There are many ways to make dull days more interesting and we will willingly lend a hand to help you organize them!
